Luis Garcia

Dr. Garcia is a member of the California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission, an Advisory Board Member of the National Latino Behavioral Health Association, Chair of the National Hispanic and Latino Prevention Technology Transfer Center Network, Second Vice President of LATCO Latino Mental Health Council, H.O.T. (Hispanic Outreach Taskforce), and former member and past Chair of the California Mental Health Planning Council. Dr. Garcia is an expert in developing culturally competent programs focusing on Latino community needs, addressing mental health stigma, and suicide prevention and early treatment for Latino children and adolescents. He develops trainings, curriculum and educational material for mental health professionals, clients, and families addressing culturally competent behavioral health services and suicide prevention and intervention.
