Dr. Morrison is a thought partner, presenter and trainer for the Center for Care Innovation’s Advancing Communication Excellence initiative and has collaborated with the Integrated Behavioral Health Project’s Patient Experience Toolkit for CalMHSA. Dr. Morrison is also the co-creator of the Institute for Healthcare Communication’s most popular workshop: ‘The Empathy Effect: Countering Bias to Improve Health Outcomes’, which was rolled out in the United States and Canada. She also formally served on the integrated care advisory boards for the California Primary Care Association and the UCSF School of Medicine. Dr. Morrison focuses on centralizing the human connection in healthcare, through integrated care systems, trauma informed care practices, and skillful, empathic communication both in-person and virtually.
