Ms. James has over 20 years’ experience in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors, having commissioned and/or facilitated grant programs totaling $176 million throughout California. These experiences have given her a unique set of skills and tools for supporting clients in voicing passion and purpose with accountable action. As a skillful and engaging facilitator, Adèle brings a broad perspective on issues of diversity on the basis of race/ethnicity, culture, gender, disability, geography and orientation. Ms. James has expertise in capacity building needs of social change organizations, system change efforts, leading organizational health equity assessments, and the implementation of organizational equity and inclusion practices. Adele holds a M.A. from Stanford University, and a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University.
